Gluten-Free Pastas


A bit of olive oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 pkg. MESHUBACH gluten-free swirl pasta/pasta shells
Kosher (coarse) salt
Basil leaves, chopped
Parmesan cheese


Heat the olive oil in the pan, and add the garlic. Add fresh tomatoes and sauté for about a minute. Add the tomato sauce and cook for a few minutes.

In the meantime, cook the pasta in hot water and with the coarse salt, about one minute less than the packaging instructs. Drain, then pour sauce into the pan. Add a bit of basil and a bit of the pasta water. Continue to cook until the water has been absorbed into the sauce. If necessary, add more water, and cook until the sauce is thick with no liquids. Serve onto serving plates, grate Parmesan cheese over the pasta, and serve.
